Sacred Heart Sanctuary

Psychotherapy grounded in the heart of Mother Earth with Lj Ratliff, LCSW

Lj Ratliff, LCSW

Hello and welcome to the Sacred Heart Sanctuary! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 33 years experience as a psychotherapist.  I am a peacemaker, writer, lover of people, animals and the earth.  I have experienced indigenous cultures and varied spiritual beliefs in my life travels and am open-minded as well as grounded and practical.  I believe in the power of love and small acts of kindness as well as the power of saying "NO" and setting healthy boundaries with others and the world at large.  These are hard times we are living in and I believe we must allow our hearts to break open and grieve while also finding a balance of joy and purpose.

In 2015 I began training to become a family and systemic constellations facilitator, the first in Tennessee, and brought this profoundly healing modality to Nashville and assisted with two training groups for facilitators. I continue to do individual constellations work with therapy clients and those who just wish to do constellations work.

Connection is the word that best describes healing to me. I see belonging and isolation from ourselves, others, and the natural world as a major source of dis-ease and my work seeks to create bridges of connection. Connection to self, others, and the world around us, both in real time and the dream time are what create a whole being. Whole beings change the world.

I am well trained, educated, and down to earth. I consider myself well grounded while also open to alternative ways of being and a world with many layers, both seen and unseen. I have a good sense of humor and a little warning....I snort when I laugh and it is contagious!

Why Sacred Heart Sanctuary?

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field.

I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about."
